We shall defend our island, whatever the cost may be, we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender. Winston Churchill (thanks to brainyquote.com)

Continuous effort – not strength or intelligence – is the key to unlocking our potential. Winston Churchill (thanks to brainyquote.com)

If you’re going through hell, keep going. Winston Churchill (thanks to brainyquote.com)

Churchhill 1Winston Churchill’s mother was one half American so we can claim that he was one half American too. Whilst Joseph Stalin and Franklin D Roosevelt were the great patriotic leaders of the Soviet Union and the United States, Winston Churchill was the great patriotic leader of us all.

We had a lot of jokes about Winston Churchill when I was a kid. But he was no joke. He was the real thing. A leader who could think and who could speak when those two attributes were greatly needed. He want the Nobel Prize and was a great writer, speaker and a pretty good artist.

I like the last quote: If you’re going through hell, keep going. Winston Churchill (thanks to brainyquote.com)
