This is my simple religion. There is no need for temples; no need for complicated philosophy. Our own brain, our own heart is our temple; the philosophy is kindness. Dalai Lama (Thanks to brainyquote.com)
Some folks spend too many hours in misery because of the unkindness of others. You might have a boss who is a grouch, always complaining, never complementing you for a job well done.
You may have a spouse who is always bitter about something who seldom says a kind word to you or your children.
Sometimes it is best to get out of the situations, to find a new job, to find a new spouse. I know that seems hard but so is a life of misery. There is hope for married couples if both agree to seek counseling. Sometimes such reflections bring the light today and problems are resolved.
But the main thing is for you to be kind to others despite how they treat you. Seeing such kindness may help others to see the way.
