curie 3Marie Curie (1867 – 4 1934) was born in Poland, moved to Paris to study chemistry for which she received two Nobel prizes, one for her discovery of radium and polonium and the other in chemistry. Her husband, Pierre Curie, shared the first prize along with another scientist.

Two institutes, one in Poland and one in Paris, still exist today. You scientist have match the contributions she made to physics, chemistry and medicine.
